Our History

The seed for Fowlkes, Norman & Associates was planted in 1989, when Fort Worth natives Ken Norman and Mark Fowlkes, both horticulturists and designers, joined their two respective landscape businesses into one. Their early focus was on zoo habitat and public space design, including installation and management projects at the Dallas Zoo, the Fort Worth Zoo, Cook Children’s Medical Center and the Kimbell Art Museum. These jobs laid the groundwork for our reputation as innovative and creative landscape professionals. We have continued to build this reputation through many residential projects, ranging from small intimate courtyards to large private estates.
